Allerheerlukste Vleisrol
## Ingredients
Meat filling:
- 2 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 125 ml warm milk
- 700 g minced meat
- 0.5 tsp ground cloves
- 0.5 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 50 ml vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, shells removed
Potato crust:
- 6 large potatoes, cooked and mashed finely
- 35 g butter
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp English mustard
- 15 ml warm milk
- 1 extra large egg
- Salt and pepper

Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Soak the bread in the warm milk, then add the rest of the filling ingredients except the hard-boiled eggs. Mix thoroughly.
- Spread the meat mixture in a rectangle on a large sheet of aluminium foil.
- Place the peeled hard-boiled eggs in a row down the centre of the rectangle.
- Fold the meat mixture around the eggs to enclose them, then wrap the foil tightly.
- Place on a baking tray and bake for about 1 hour, until the meat is cooked through.
- Allow to cool.
- Meanwhile, make the potato crust by combining the mashed potatoes with butter, baking powder, English mustard, warm milk, the extra beaten egg, salt and pepper.
- Remove the foil from the meat roll.
- Using a piping bag, fork or spoon, cover the outside of the meat roll evenly with the potato mixture.
- Switch the oven to the grill/roasting element and bake until the crust just begins to turn light brown.
- Serve with "Soetpatats & Perskes" side or "Oumas Creamed Spinach".
