Appelkoos Tjops
Ingredients
- 8 pork chops
- Salt and pepper
- 1 packet thick onion soup powder
- 410 g can apricots, puréed (sauce included)
- 125 ml mayonnaise
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Season the chops with salt and pepper and pan-fry briefly in oil to brown.
- Place the browned chops in a large oven dish.
- Mix the puréed apricots (with their sauce) with the mayonnaise, crushed garlic and the onion soup powder; pour this mixture over the chops.
- Bake at 180°C for 45–60 minutes until cooked through and sauce is bubbling.
- Serve with rice, roasted potatoes and a green salad.
