Bros Baba Aartappels were always the tray everyone hovered around — those little golden potatoes that crackled when you bit into them. Your mum would shake the pot just enough to rough them up, then roast them until the skins blistered and the insides turned soft and fluffy. They're the kind of potatoes that never made it to the table without a few going "missing" on the way.
Ingredients
- 500 g baby potatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter
- Grated cheese (for sprinkling)
Method
- Prick the potatoes with a fork. Par-cook until tender.
- Drain, melt the butter and pour over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until crisp and golden.
