Gesnyde Gebakte Aartappels
Ingredients
- 8 potatoes
- Salt and pepper
- 1 packet white or brown onion soup powder
- 250 ml boiling water
- 125 ml mayonnaise
- 185 ml Mrs Balls chutney (or alternative)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180–200°C.
- Wash the potatoes. Par-cook until about halfway done.
- Cut slices across each potato but not all the way through (hasselback style).
- Place the potatoes in an ovenproof dish and season with salt and pepper.
- Mix the soup powder, boiling water, mayonnaise and chutney together to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the potatoes.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until cooked through and golden.
