Heerlike Marie Lekkers
Ingredients
- 1 packet Marie biscuits (or similar plain tea biscuits), crushed
- 225 g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp cocoa
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 200 g icing sugar
- Handful of crushed plain rusks (optional)
Method
- Melt the butter and stir in the vanilla. Let it cool slightly.
- Once the butter has cooled a little, add the beaten egg to the butter and mix.
- Add the icing sugar and cocoa and mix thoroughly.
- Add the crushed biscuits (and crushed rusks if using) and mix well.
- Press into a tray, chill until cold, then cut into squares.
