Sosatie Marinade (Beef/Lamb/Pork)
Sosatie Marinade
Ingredients
- 750 g meat of choice (beef, lamb or pork), cut into medium chunks
- Skewers
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- Oil for frying
- 3 tbsp Rajah curry powder (or alternative)
- 3 tbsp ground coriander
- 3 tbsp apricot jam
- 0.5 cup vinegar
- 2 cups milk
Method
- Fry the chopped onions and garlic in oil until softened.
- Add the curry powder and sauté briefly.
- Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients except the milk; stir and let cool.
- Once cool, stir in the milk.
- Thread the meat chunks onto skewers.
- Pour the marinade over the meat on skewers, cover and marinate overnight in the fridge.
- Grill on the braai (BBQ) until cooked through and nicely browned.
