Warm Sampioen Slaai
Ingredients
- 500 g mushrooms, sliced
- 50 g butter
- 25 g plain flour
- 3 tsp onion, finely chopped
- 3 tsp fresh parsley, chopped, plus extra to garnish
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp mustard
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 250 ml cream
Method
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Mix the butter and flour with the onion, parsley, salt, mustard and pepper to make a paste.
- Toss the sliced mushrooms in the paste and place in an ovenproof dish.
- Pour the cream over the mushrooms.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes until mushrooms are tender and the top is golden.
- Serve warm, topped with a handful of fresh parsley.
